Synopsis
Amara Jade is destined for greatness. At least, that's what she professes in her video blogs. There's got to be more out there for her than her seemingly mundane existence as a sophmore at one of the region's most prominent acting schools.
Amara's break seems imminent when her acting instructor and personal coach, Derek Truscott, comes to her with "the big role" that will get her out of school and put her on the path to fame. But Truscott has an ulterior motive, and after convincing a very drunk Amara to spend the night with him he reveals that her "big break" is in a local smut film. Enraged and still hungover, Amara storms off.
A day later, Amara wakes up with virtually no memory of what happened the day before. She completes her morning rituals and logs on to her social networking page, only to find dozens of eerie comments - mostly from her closest friends - that suggest Amara is dead.
Disturbed by what she assumes is a prank, Amara confronts her friends who swear they're innocent. In the days to follow, Amara is plagued by more bizarre condolence messages, including professions of love from one of her friends.
Amara becomes obsessed with finding the source of the bizarre comments, as her closest friend Shea suggests she's having some kind of bizarre premonition. It soon becomes clear that whatever is going to happen to Amara, it's going to happen after the upcoming mixer.
Once so sure she was destined for greatness, Amara now struggles to simply survive as her obsession threatens to rip her world apart... and in the end, it may cost her more than her life...

- Character Description
- Shea is Amara's closest friend, and an aspiring actress as well. She's into horror films and has a bit of an emo streak (though she vehemently denies it). Shea has lived under the specter of disappointment since birth: her father had wanted a boy (a baseball player) and named her Shea as a nod to the home of his favorite baseball team. All her life, Shea has dealt with self esteem issues because of her broken relationship with her father, and they still plague her today.

- A sophmore acting student, Amara believes she is destined for something bigger and better than the day to day mundaity of college life. She is an avid video blogger and enjoys getting up on her soapbox to proclaim her profound opinions on issues she is only vaguely educated about. She does have keen insight into other peoples' feelings and thus is a fairly gifted actress and a good listener. However, she is inexperienced and naive, and a little too trusting.
