Synopsis
Gildas was raised by his uncle to be a warrior, raised by priests to be a scholar, and raised by his mother to be charming and funny. Placed in charge of a decaying Keep due to his dead father's bloodline, he must find a way to protect his people from a marauding clan of barbaristic Vikings led by the fearsome Halbjiorn. The battle goes well for Gildas and his handful of knights safely inside the walls of the keep, then an "omen" falls from the sky in the form of a green meteorite. The sky darkens and it begins to rain heavily. As the downpour washes the blood from the bodies strewn about the battlefield, Halbjiorn calls off the attack to discuss this "sign" with his shaman. The rain continues into the night, washing a strange green ooze (from the meteorite) down a hillside and into a graveyard. Later that night, the dead come back from their graves to feast on the living. Gildas, seeing the carnage ensue, offers an uneasy and temporary alliance with Halbjiorn's deteriorating force. Gildas's cousin John, a weasel of a man, sees this as an act of treason and forms a plan to wrest the Keep from Gildas. While the zombie army swells in number, the humans fight a desperate battle for survival. The security of the Keep is compromised because of a foolish and cowardly act by John. Armed with only medieval weapons, can what remains of a tattered army prevail over the fury of a horde of hellish ghouls? Will humanity survive?

- An undead female court jester. Died only days before the current battle. A very fresh body-turned-undead. Quicker and more agile than other zombies.

- Tough old Knight. Gildas' father's illegitimate older brother. Greying hair. (Jeremy Irons, etc)
Gurndem / Lead
- Character Description
- King Hallbiorn's cousin and next in line. A young Viking warrior - new to battle. Tall and blonde, strong.
John / Lead
- Character Description
- Red hair. Snooty appearance but can act civil. Weaselly yet dangerous.
Lady Amaris Chadbourne / Lead
- Character Description
- Beautiful with long curly hair. Lokks like a high-born lady, fights like a hell-cat.
Abdul-Aziz / Lead
- Character Description
- Fearsome Moorish warrior. His life was spared by Gildas, so he now serves him until the blood-debt is repaid. This role requires a lot of physicality and should be played by someone of African-American descent.
