Diamond Jack's

This video will be a metaphorical approach to the lyrics rather than a literal one. The music will drive the visuals, hitting on certain key metaphorical points throughout and center on the idea of fulfilling a basic human need: love.
It will incorporate strong colors that also symbolize the main theme in this video-love. Red and blue colors will be used throughout in various combinations which represent fire and water, respectively, which in turn symbolize yin and yang, or man and woman.
The video takes place in a small club, where Low vs Diamond is performing, and perhaps influencing the spiritual mood of the main players with their lyrics and rhythmic pulse of the music, particularly the two main characters.

FADE IN:
At the beginning of the song, the main character (Vinnie) arrives at the club with his friends, bathed in red and blue neon from the sign above.
As they enter the doorway, the first instrumental bridge signals a slow motion entrance into the club. They head toward the bar and indulge in a few drinks.
The main character is at first looking for acceptance and connection to his 'friends' and women but finds only dissonance.
He soon finds himself discouraged and leaves the comfort of his group in search of something else.
He makes his way into the crowd of Low vs Diamond fans just as the second instrumental bridge begins. In the midst of the crowd he is strangely alone.
The lead singer (Lucas) notices him, being the only one of the crowd who looks out of place. There is a symbolic connection between the lead singer and the main character. <Can't you see your blood is thicker...> He appears to be singing about the him.
Disheartened at his lack of association, the main character ducks down below the sea of heads, where the muted music creates a world of its own. His crouches there alone, in a cage of his own making.
During the second chorus, he ponders his situation, then looks to his right, where he is surprised by a girl who is also crouched a few feet away.
They make eye contact and share a shy, flirtatious moment. She motions for him to get closer, which he does.
<I need you, I'd give tomorrow to be with you...> They talk for several moments and he suggests that they leave, which she agrees to.
Their heads resurface and they head towards the exit hand in hand, parting the crowd as they go.
Lucas notices them and it invigorates him, which he then pours into his performance.
The two exit the club and zig-zag through the parked cars. <Sister take me away with you...>
They get into the car and drive away as the camera cranes upward to a clear night sky with a full moon.
FADE OUT.

The video will be shot at one location at a club whose small size will facilitate handling extras, which will be kept to a minimum. Existing lighting will be controlled and enhanced to accomplish the 'look' of the video and the addition of a crane and dolly will add production value. Digital high definition cameras will speed up the workflow and eliminate the need for extra equipment and cost, while allowing immediate feedback on the visual style of the video.
