Logline: A zombie outbreak occurs while two 20-somethings are on a date. They flee to Harvey's brother's home in the mountains, where they have the best survival odds.

Synopsis

What if zombies took over, and the only safe place you knew was 2,000 miles away?

Harvey and Kate are two twenty-somethings who are out on the town when the zombie outbreak begins. Knowing they are not safe if they stay in the city, they flee in Harvey's car, planning their best choice for survival.

Harvey's brother is a survivalist with a home high in the Rocky Mountains. Just before the phones go out, he suggests that maybe Harvey and Kate try to get to his home. After all, the infected can't survive in high altitudes or temperatures below freezing, according to the news. Since Max lives more than a mile above sea level, and it is already autumn, Harvey determines that this is the best course of action.

Along the way, Harvey and Kate will have to deal with threats from zombies, cutthroat survivors, and a newly formed cult whose sick doctrine requires the murder of anyone who does not wish to join. Not to mention the ever-present threat of running out of gas, and the hazards involved with filling the car's tank.
