Synopsis

Even death can't kill the essence of his evil. Bloody Flesh and Gore... Bone Chilling and Frightening... Terrifying and Wicked... Mind Haunting and Torture... Murder and Despair... In 1864 the Bakersville Carnival seemed so innocent but sickened by a foul demon from the depths of hell the carnival's dark master of death tortures and murders his innocent victims with brutal cruelness. Lashing their flesh with his harsh whip they die in agony and their hope is lost. Blood spills, from their mutilated corpses. Then they are left where they are never seen or heard of again. 143 years later Bryant and Monica Karington newly weds are looking to start a grind house movie theater for horror films in the small town of Barkersville on the outskirts of their big city. Thinking their dreams are coming true, they quickly find themselves in a hellish nightmare of murders. The young couple is forced to fear what they try to deny leading them to an agonizing truth. Both Bryant and Monica haunted by an evil sinister wickedness that lingers in their shadows. The spirit of the Lasher causes them chaos and despair, corrupting their lives with ultimate terror. Will they ever escape?

Character Description:
A beautiful blonde with dark blue eyes. Monaica has a seductive alure about her. A very attractive young woman trying desperatley to fight her way out of a dark depression that has haunted her for a long time. She is married to Bryant Karington who she has loved since high school. She suffers from severe migraines and is on a MAOI Prescription. Monica carries a sarcastic attitude about life and always has to keep her self busy to keep her mind from the despair taking over. She is reluctant to have children because she is afraid her depression could be hereditary. Monica's mother has been a depressant alcoholic since her father died triggering the start of Monica's unhappiness. Monica has a pet bunny and her favorite color is pink.

Character Description:
Bryant is a sports fanatic that always wears a jersey. He is Monica's sexy husband that tries to get sex from her anytime he can. He is totally in love with his wife and would do almost anything to see her happy. He tries to be witty adding some humor to every moment. He is optimistic about life and tries to play the protective hero. Bryant is a go getter owns his own business wholessaling lease cars to car dealerships. He is a collector of super hero action fiqures and scary movie posters. He loves horror films and his dream is to open his own movie house. Although he loves to be scared he can't stand the sight of real blood. Bryant secertly is desperate to start a family but never pressures his wife in fear her depression could return.

Character Description:
Jimmy is a jain smoker and a shady charactor that comes from an itillian broken home. His brother is in prison and he is a reformed Gangster that moved from Chicago to Barkersville with his drunk father who drives a tow truck. They moved to Barkersville to be closer to his mother that had left & divorced Jimmy's father for a doctor she worked for. Jimmy served time in prison for drug & theft related offenses and he tries to hide the fact from everyone by saying he was away at college. Jimmy is a player who hits on every babe he sees. He likes to party day and night and can't keep a studie job so he does odd jobs under the table for Mr. Shank the town Realtor. When he meets the Karingtons he clings to them like the parents he never had. Always trying to fit in to their world.

Character Description:
Mr. Shank background is Irish. He is the town's greedy swindler that owns a reality company. He is a big blanton man married and has 2 sons. He wants his dreams of becoming a basketball star for his eldest son a senor that is trying to get a scholarship. He is good at scaming others to get them to believe him. He sales Monica & Bryant the haunted property to build their new grind house on.

Character Description:
The Lasher is dark and mysterious plagued by a demon. His carnival attire is a black suit and top hat. He is a evil serial killer from 1864. He worked the circus training black panthers until he was fired for being suspected for raping a young girl. He joins the carnival taking his fierce pet with him. This dark sinister charactor studies the dark arts and sacraficial rites. His fetish for eyelashes & whipping has consumed him to the point of no return. Being lost to madness he starts abducting young girls, torturing them with his whip before sacrificing them. He saves the bloody eyelashes of each of his victims in a crusty jar to show to the curious carinval patrons. After being hung to his death his evil spirit the demon with out human form haunts the land where the gallows was and in the present where Monica & Bryant build their Grind House Theather.

A very mean intimidating bald southern man. Judge in the trial of the Lasher's conviction.

Character Description:
A frightened young girl that is raped and tortured but escapes the clutches of the evil Lasher. She is a terrified pregnant girl who testifies against the assailant for what he has done to her and the other dead girls. Her father is a strick preacher named John Williams and he blames her of sin for being with child and unwed. She runs away from home. She is Monica's great great grandmother.

John is a stricked preacher the father of Sarah Willams. He stands behind her during the trial but then can't handle the fact that his daughter is with child and unwed.

Executioner of the Lasher. A big burly man with muscular arms. He walks the Lasher to the gallows, puts the rope around his neck and pulls the pin.

Character Description:
Katti Miller is a vivacious high school cheerleader. She is a little dense but has a hot body and a gorgeous face. She hangs with the idolized court of school. Billy Shank is her boyfriend. Sometime she acts superfacial to fit in but she is a little insecure.

Judy Snyder is Monica Karington's mother. She is a depressant widow that tries to hide her addiction to alchol. She is only seen in photographs.

Conner is a high school basketball star captian of the Barkersville Tigers. He is best friends with Billy Shank. He is the son of Chief Steven Williams. He is a clever prankster but is sensative and has fallen for the new girl, Jennifer Thompson that has just moved to town.

Billy Shank is the Center of the high school basketball team the Barkersville Tigers. He is hot but egotistic and his entourage are the cool kids in school. His posse pulls pranks to initiate the new kids into their gang. Billy dates Katti Miller cause she always gives it up to him. His best friend is Conner Williams. His father is Mr. Shank the swindling town realtor.

Jennifer has a sweet innocence but is a firey red head. She is adorably cute and a little shy. She has just moved to Barkersville with her parents making her the new girl at school. Conner Williams is stalking her like a lion in heat. She has a after school job at the Karington's new grind house theater.

The Sheriff of Barkersville in 1864. He is a force not to be reckoned with. Strong with a stern persona. His character exudes hatred for his assilants. He has lived a hard life. His skin is tanned and wrinkled from the sun. His hair is beginging to gray. He rides a horse so he is a little bow legged and wears brown leather riding gloves and over coat.

Character Description:
Boyde Mason is the deputy of Barkersville in 1864. He is a little more modest then the Sheriff but wants to be just like him. He reveres the power the Sheriff has over the people of the town and is always following in his foot steps.

Character Description:
Warren Gates was deformed when born not even his mother wanted him. Forced to fend for himself as a young teenage boy of 14 he became the janitor at the prison in the 40's before it was closed down and then burned down. With no job he went to work at the elementry school. As the years passed by he became more creepy and quiet and the kids started calling him names like psycho freak. Supposebly he was possesed by the Lasher or just went completely mad and killed 2 young girls and a teacher. When he was convicted he was sentenced to the state ward for being insane. It was thought he died there of stomach cancer.

Character Description:
Kelly is a senior in high school who applies for a weekend job at the Karington's Grind House Theater. She seems like a smart girl on the right track to her bright future. She is a cute brunette full of energy.
