Panelist Commentary

Beautiful video. We were impressed. The concept is intriguing, but we would like to see more detail in the description regarding exactly what the crux of the issue is? Are the little girls dead, are they evil or are they being held against their will and what exactly is this religion. Confusing, but we really want to know more.

This one has potential. I like the slow unraveling of the mystery, plus pulling up the rug of small town America. Try to avoid the stereotypical "religious extremists" as the villains plot, though, and find a more original MO for the cultists.

Synopsis

A family on vacation come across a small town. Upon being welcomed by the friendly townspeople to stay, the family decides to relax a bit. After all, it's a quiet little town, bright with colors. The homes are beautiful, the streets are clean, and the people are carefree. Women stroll down the sidewalk, talking with smiles on their faces, strolling with their babies to the park. Little boys frolic down the street, laughing and playing games.

It's the perfect place to get away from it all until, that is, they notice something a bit odd. Where are the little girls of the town?

What they find out is that the town was built by those living in exile. It was founded by a group of people whose beliefs are seen as immoral and horrific to most cultures. For some reason, in recent decades, the town has been having a "problem" with the children who are born there. And for various reasons, the people of the town are looking to make the family part of theirs and "fix" the daughters of the family of their sickness.

A dark, scary realization that occurs in a beautiful, colorful world. With facts, obviously, taken to the extreme with elements added to successfully create a horror film, "What Little Girls Are Made Of" is an original tale highly inspired by the real life stories of what's going on in small religious sectors right here in America.
