Panelist Commentary

It was apparent that a lot of time and effort went into the making of this intriguing video. We also found the title interesting but it led us to believe there might be something sinister about the Janitor, which may have been a creepier and more original idea. Unfortunately, zombie killers/body snatchers in a high school has been done before.

I am really tired of zombie movies (but that's not stopping anyone from making them!), and this pitch owes a little too much to 28 DAYS LATER and the upcoming QUARANTINE. The setting was partially done in the recent AUTOMATON TRANSFUSION as well. I like the idea of a janitor as a hero though. You would need a visionary director to elevate the material.

Synopsis

An embittered, former intelligence agent, relegated to be the watchdog custodian of a quiet Midwestern high school, has to step into his old shoes when students and faculty are contaminated with a rage virus from a secret biochemical material that accidentally leaks into the school's drinking water system. The janitor has to clean up the bloody mess and save a handful of survivors without letting any of the contaminated zombies break out of the school.
