Adele Ray is a professional video editor and producer based in New York City with 10 years of multimedia, video, and film production experience. She recently completed a short documentary, "Women's Refugee Commission: The First 20 Years" for WRC. Past clients include Left/Right Productions-VH1 "I Wanna Work for Diddy," and "Heavy.com" She recently produced a short documentary, "Parallel Adele," (http://www.paralleladele.com) which is touring the 2009 film festival circuit: LA Asian Pacific American Film Festival, SFIAFF, Toronto Reel Asian Film Festival, PAAFF, Slant Bold Asian Film Festival, among others. She also wrote, directed and produced a short fiction comedy, "Jersey Dyke" (http://www.jerseydyke.com) which has also made the film festival circuit including venues like NGLIFF and Reeling 2008. Her past film, El Paso Vietnam (2003), received awards and screened at various venues locally, nationally, and abroad. She is in the process of completing an experimental 16mm film remixing Chinese Revolution footage from, "Red China Diaries with Morley Safer" (1967) with a Steenbeck editing machine to DJ Shadow's trip-hop track, "In Flux". She also teaches film and media courses at the New School and has previously taught at NYU and Parsons School of Design.
