Anneke Schoneveld began the path to her career as a unit photographer during the filming of HANNIBAL in Richmond, VA. A chance meeting with the film’s acclaimed Production Designer Norris Spencer led to getting an inside look into many different aspects of the set photographer's responsibilities. Only a few short months later, her first big break came along—in the form of a photo shoot with Academy Award-winning actor Anthony Hopkins (It's a good story - you should ask her about it).
Since that time she has had the opportunity to photograph and collaborate with many other talented actors, including: Academy Award-winner Ernest Borgnine, Oscar-nominated Piper Laurie, Luke Wilson, David Koechner, Gretchen Mol, Sasha Alexander, Anne Meara, Alan Cumming, Cybill Shepard, Emmy Rossum, as well as Emmy winners Richard Schiff and Doris Roberts.
Prior to joining the IATSE 600 Cinematographers Guild, she developed her photography skills working with a broad range of clients from magazines to universities, cookbooks to fashion designers--clients that she still enjoys working with between her feature film work.
Anneke studied Photography at the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Arts and at Virginia Commonwealth University, and completed her photography fine arts degree with an interdisciplinary major, adding Entrepreneurial Business/Marketing to her studies. This gave her an extensive understanding of marketing and advertising, allowing for a broader understanding of a film's marketing life-cycle and needs.
Anneke has recently branched out into commercial directing and will have another website with her work up soon.
