Favorite TV Shows
Doctor Who, Boondocks, Weeds, Arrested Development - among others. Again, a rather unwieldy question for cineastes, assuming of course that all filmmakers are such - which may not be the case. I'm sure a few indulge in film making for seemingly untoward reasons/pleasures. I know, personally, that sometimes these arduous tasks of writing and photograph(ing?) can be quite the masochistic release!

Favorite Books
The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Sandman Collection, Kabuki, A Right to be Hostile, The Idiot, Brothers Karamazov, Crime and Punishment, Notes from the Underground (yes, I went on a Dostoevsky binge that was every bit as intoxicating and heady as any drinking spree I've been on, possibly more)

Favorite Music
Currently,
As I Am - Alicia Keys (particularly 'Where do we go from here' and 'No-One' but the others are just as good)
also Corrine-Bailey Rae, John Legend, Arctic Monkeys, The Futureheads, Badly Drawn Boy, Erykah Badu, Seal, Sade, Goapele, Bloc Party, Scissors Sisters etc

Favorite Quotes
Anything that happens, happens. Anthing that, in happening, causes something else to happen, causes something else to happen. Anything that, in happening, causes itself to happen again, happens again -Douglas Adams, Mostly Harmless

Favorite Movies
Isn't this question extraneous on a site filled with filmmakers? I suppose it may be helpful towards knowing one's aspirations as a filmmaker. This, however, may also be misleading. For instance, I love House of Flying Daggers. Do I want to make movies like this - hell yeah! OK. Bad example. But there are certain movies I like but will never aspire to - and also as an artist my desire will be to surpass those I admire so in turn someone else will surpass me? - damn I hate this circle of life shit, Love the Lion King though, and most Disney and all Pixar and a lot of Ted Elliot and Terry Rosio screenplays...favourite cartoon - The Road to El Dorado what what?). And if anyone's been reading carefully, they'll realize I just dropped in a number of my favs!
Anyway, currently I'm wallowing in self-pity wondering if I'll ever create stories as good as Millennium Actress and Paprika. Poetry in Motion = Satoshi Kon!!! - well his work at least, can't speak for the guy himself - never really met him but I assume we engage in satisfactory conversation every time I watch one of his flicks.
