When I'm given a job, I try my hardest to devote as much as I can to please the director with my position. I have an artistic eye.

As an Art Director, I try my best to make things look as realistic (if that's the vision) as possible. I've also done bruises, blood, and older make up as well, but I don't consider myself a make up artist even though the directors have all been very happy with my work and thought it looked real. I'm big on symbolism, so I have actually added to the director's vision with props and set dressing in "The Anniversary." I am also well versed in creating fairly photo-realistic drawings of humans, abstract drawings, cartoons, ceramic figures, photography, and doing photoshop.

When I arrived to college, I told people I was first and foremost an Editor. I've gained multiple niches since then, but I still love to edit. I like to cut things very precisely. Like with any other job, I don't half ass it. I am also a very music driven person, so I will connect the music to the film so they strengthen one another.

As a Director, I like to make films with a message that is very important to me. In most of my films, the characters have resembled some aspect of me. I'm not afraid to be vulnerable to my audience. I've been told my films are very humanistic as well. Coming from my background of Art, I enjoy having interesting compositions that relate to the characters' moods and feelings. Being able to direct can be stressful, but is completely worth it.

When I am a Casting Director, I look very closely and analyze the actors' faces and relate it to the personality of the character. When there needs to be a match for a family, different ages of a character, or even different versions of a character I match hair, eyes, facial structure, etc. to continue the illusion of a film. I advise the director on whom I think is the best for the job based on talent and looks. I am also very conscious of minority under representation and I think its very important to have more representations of minorities on a social and worldly level.
