Bio
DeAriesha born a native New Yorker in the spring of 85'. She has been pushing her way into the entertainment business since the early age of 6. She did not develop her drumming skills how ever until late in life. Grade school playful rhyming in the kitchen with her uncle turned into a skill she perfected. Under independent recording label Lyons Gate Records she recorded and released her first single "Now is The Time" in D&D studios. This piece was a message sent to the youth that now was the time for a change. Produced by Van Holland and written by Gail Sky King (former musical writer for Nickelodeon Gullah Gullah island). As little Mc Baby D, she's held radio interviews in Philly and DC. She's has performed In The 94 Harlem week show case 93' Hot 97 orchard beach showcase, N.A.I.R.E convention in Washington DC for independent labels. Growing up her parents kept her well-rounded introducing her to artist like Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Prince, and Sade. Young DeAriesha amazed by the impact her favorite type of music had on its audience she began to take an interest in the drums. Having many drummers in her family she found it hard to resist and began playing in church as they did. At the time she learned what ever she could from local musicians or musicians in her family. Her passion was so great she also spent her years acquiring the knowledge to teach herself. Aside from her family, her influences are Zigaboo Modeliste of the Meters, Questlove of the Roots, John Bonham of Led Zeppelin and Buddy Miles. She has played at many New York Venues and opened up for Hip Hop group Arrested Development at B.B Kings on percussion with Hip hop recording artist, Myself, along with The Filmore New York opening up for artists like Public Enemy and DMC, The 5th annual 9/11 freedom flight Kite tribute with her current group Blak Shuga and top billboard charts recording artist, Deepasoul (www.deepasoul.com),Hanks in Brooklyn with recording artist Leah Beabout (leahbeabout.com/music) S.O.B's with trombonist Toli Nameless and Dj Kiva ,L.E.S. girls club, Don Hills,169 bar with her former hard rock project, The Cutting room, Laila Lounge, CoCo66. Hope Lounge, her own featured show at St Nicks Pub in Harlem, Sputnik in Brooklyn and Fire in Philadelphia. She has also sat in at venues like Zephlon and Café Wha?.she has worked with an all female international Afrobeat group, Femme NamelessYoung and always ambitious in 05' she had auditioned for Gav Fam entertainment during their Salt unwrapped project. DeAriesha had audition for Beyonce's all girl band search where The Daily news and Philly radio station 105.5 the beat took special interest in her performance. She was featured in a Daily News Article and heard in an interview for the Philly station 100.3 the beat with radio personallity Monie love. DeAriesha can also be seen on the Cover of upstate local magazine Tri-County Woman's 01' and 05' issue and on Gettyimages. She has also made several video appearences for groups like Telling on Trixie and E.C Larok. . She is a beautiful strong-minded drummer and artist with a heavy sense of determination and dedication to her crafts. With a genuine and honest disposition. For her this only the beginning.
