Eddie Fernandez

Hello my name is Eddie Fernandez and I'm an independent filmmaker from NYC. I always had a passion to be very creative through the arts. At age 14 I began training in the martial arts. I started with Jeet Kune Do (Bruce Lee's Art) Judo and Wing Chun Kung Fu. I took acting classes and was involved in live performances through a program called "Teatro Tiempo" (Theater of Times). And a few other programs associated with the performing arts in my high school City-As-School(Internship Based).

I worked (internship) for a company called Anti-Gravity as the assistant to the Director Chris Harrison. There I learned the ins and outs of the entertainment industry. I was inspired by Chris to open my own Martial Art School based on Eclecticism and to build my reel as a fight choreographer. After realizing that teaching martial art and acting wasn't my dream anyone(although I still have a passion for training in martial arts) a deeper passion was realized. Filmmaking.

I began writing screenplays in 1999. I also dabbled in fight choreography. I borrowed my friends Mini DV camera and did fight scene videos. After reading the book Rebel without a crew by Robert Rodriguez in 2004 I shot my first short movie "Marital World". Then followed with my first Feature "Final Level". I also did one public access talk show and one commercial for a cell phone company called Zens Tech. I also got certified at Bronx Net for field production work.

On my spare time I do mixed martial arts, study Russian, Japanese and German. I have a passion for ancient pyramid cultures, archaeology, anthropology and oceanography. Love Japanimation and cooking exotic foods. I spend time at home watching my daughter who I love so much. She is my heart.
