Emma J Purvey

I am a trained actress and broadcast journalist. I began my career as a model, at age 7, and while studying broadcast at London College of Fashion I began interning at Kiss radio in London and soon became the fashion & Hip Hop reporter. Television followed and this was all before graduating. I moved to NYC as the NY editor for Hip Hop Connection magazine, I had fallen in love with NY while interning at Good Morning America on the ABC network. The opportunity to move to Miami Beach presented itself and I found myself living by the ocean, a novelty after growing up in Cambridge. I was represented by the Michele Pommier agency in Miami for modeling and acting. I fell in love with acting while shooting commercials and after festival success on my first supporting role on Ballad of A Soldier (www.IMDB.com) returned to NYC to study my craft at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts and build my body of work as an actress. I am represented in NY by Claro Talent Agency for print/commercial/film/tv and Access Talent for voice-over. My blog has up to the minute news on my latest projects. I am focused on film and love to challenge myself. I enjoy drama and playing strong women. I am very active, I love yoga, ballet, riding my bike, ski-ing, jet ski-ing and dancing. I am a vegan.
