Bio

I originally went to school for fine art where I focused on studio art- specifically installation and video art. After being accepted to the Art Institute of Chicago it dawned on me that all my work was about creating a positive form of escape for the viewer and I kept integrating narrative storytelling. I had my big "duh" moment and realized I should be studying film not art.

Wanting to get an education outside of Hollywood, I checked out Columbia College Chicago on a recommendation from a friend. Best idea ever. While there I directed a TON of short films (most of which will never see the light of day!) I did however get to direct a short film called "Pirates & Pills", we shot on 35, had greenscreen VFX, and even built the upper half of a pirate ship - all for 5k. (no joke!) Another short film, "Anatomy of Numbers" premiered at the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival and is making the rounds at film festivals as we speak.

I have now been living in Los Angeles for a year and have been fortunate enough to make a living as a freelance director primarily doing corporate video (aka bo-ring). I'm looking to press on with more narrative work and with my background in fine art I have been ITCHING to get some more music videos under my belt. I have access to a RED camera, a fantastic DP, and I'll work for free.... Seriously. So who's game?
