Overview

  • Bio

I'm a teacher at an all boys' private Catholic high school who teaches English and Film Study. I am a lawyer but don't practice at the present time but have taught law classes. I have performed in many dramas, comedies musicals as well as directed and produced plays and musical revues. I have also done extensive extra work in films . I have a beautiful 14 year old daughter named Laura.

  • Interests and Activities

Love teaching, love law , reading, walking on the beach, jogging, working out, boxing, writing, performing, directing and going to plays, and all types of movies ranging from classic musicals to human dramas to sophisticated comedies.

  • Favorite Movies

It is hard to choose as I love all the old classic movies and musicals but my "faves' are "The Godfather I", 'Mystic River", "To Kill A Mockingbird", "West Side Story", "Hannah and Her SIsters" & "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers".

  • Favorite TV Shows

"I Love Lucy", "Naked CIty", "Two and a Half Men", "The Mary Tyler Moore Show", "The Carol Burnett SHow", "St. Elsewhere", "The Sopranos", "thirtysomething", "Brothers and Sisters", "Jeopardy" & "Seinfeld".

  • Favorite Music

Show tunes, particularly certain Sondheim such as "Follies" or "Company", plus certain classic singers such as Sinatra or Dean Martin or Doris Day, more modern would include Rod Stewart, some Elton John, Beatles, Billy Joel as well as Bette Midler or Natalie Cole.

  • Favorite Talent

Very hard to choose but up there would be the Chairman of the Board Mr. Sinatra (both as a singer & actor), director Martin Scorcese, composer Sondheim and the outrageous Bette Midler.

  • Favorite Quotes

From Voltaire in Candide: "We're neither pure nor wise nor good-we do the best we know" or from Nietchze- "that which does not kill you will make you stronger".

  • Favorite Books

Any Grisham, particularly the early stuff; plus most Hemingway (The Old Man and the Sea a favorite), Steinbeck, some Kafka (The Castle is great) and for lighter stuff I can devour movie star biographies as fun "summer reading".
