Gilbert Ruiz jr was born and raised in the Bronx with his two brothers and sister he's the youngest of them three. He grow up doing live stage and dance performance when he was a child and throw junior high school and for the Spanish community centers in Manhattan and the Bronx. It was through those experience and through working on the children's book turn into a play the snow queen as part of his high school credit that he developed a serious interest in entertainment and art. HE branched out into the worked of independent filmmaking and produced a feature short comedy film of himself on you-tube, (Me and My Boyfriend on his sister's b-day) directed by Luis M Solivan Jr and written by gilbert Ruiz Jr. This inspired him to write his own screenplays and develop ideas for other projects that are projects that are in development. Gilberto and Luis teamed up to form the film production company red star entertainment, which handles all there project ideas as well as Luis. His hobbies include camping, Meditation, Animal care, Ancient cultures, teaching teenagers how too direct and write there own short screen plays, and swimming.HE enjoys reading and watching Movies and TV shows in the science fiction, fantasy, horror, action genres.
