Trailer of my short action comedy film "Henchin"
Javier is a Venezuelan/Canadian film director and producer.

Javier's career started as a professional Musician, Computer Programmer and 3D Animator in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 1998.

After recording and touring in a popular punk rock band, starting and managing his own record label and working as a web designer and TV animator, Javier moved to Beijing, China, where he produced and directed 3D Animation promo shorts for urban development firms. In 2003 he moved to Vancouver, Canada, to work in 2D Animation, and had stints on award winning animated TV series such as Ed, Edd, n' Eddy and Atomic Betty.

In 2008, he upgraded his skills in Film Directing and Production and has been involved in the film business ever since.

In the years he's been living in Canada, Javier has produced, written and directed 6 live-action short films and 5 Animated micro-films, including award winners and festival runners like "Scars" (Film, 2008), "Swords dont run out of bullets" (Animation, 2006) and "Henchin" (Film, 2009). His clients include Paperny Films, Cartoon Network, Teletoon, Affolter Entertainment, The National Film Board of Canada, the YMCA, and a number of established local filmmakers and film events, such as the Vancouver International Asian Film Festival.

He owns an independent film production company called Spit Shine Flicks, and is a partner and business strategist at a Stereoscopic 3D film venture called False Creek Films, developing feature films, TV shows and short films. He also freelances as Videographer, Storyboard Artist, Art Director, Gaffer, Key Grip, 1st AD and Editor.
