Bio
Dunn draws on personal experiences from his life and commits them to film. This leads to a greater filmmaker investment in the picture, and when combined with his raw, fresh talent - yields a higher quality of filmmaking. His films are deeply personal, yet have a resounding universal connection with audiences.
In October 2004, Dunn launched his own production company, Theory Films, specializing in developing and producing narrative film projects. Joel has directed over a two dozen short films and music videos, garnering over a dozen film festival awards and accolades.
He recently completed Escape from the Fire, an award winning short film about two abused children during WWII. "Escape" has played in film festivals worldwide including the Houston international Film Festival, Big Bear Lake Int'l, Harlem Int'l, Los Angeles Int'l Children's Film Festival, and the Int'l Student Film Festival Hollywood.
Awards won include CINE Golden Eagle, Worldfest Remi, Telly, and Davey.
