Jenn Page
Jenn Page founded Luminave Films with the goal to create great projects for women to star in, produce, direct, and even crew on. She was determined to make a female friendly production company where women could be given free reign to create whatever their hearts could dream up.
After obtaining her degree in theatre performance form Southern Illinois University Edwardsville she earned her wings in New York City acting in independent films including the multi-award winning short “Off.” With the intention of furthering her acting career she moved to Los Angeles. She joined the thousands of actors trying to knock doors down to get cast in other peoples’ projects. Shortly after her arrival she decided that the best way to get work was to make her own. She began producing projects for herself and formed her first production company. With that company she created a highly successful film festival consisting of five short films that competed for an audience of over 300 guests including top industry professionals. Her film won the Grand Jury Prize among other honors. Since then she has acted, produced, and/or directed feature films, short films, music videos, and stage shows.
Directing has become the main focus for Jenn as she found that not only does directing allow her to utilize everything she has learned over the years, but it is her true passion. She has never been so exhilarated as being on set directing actors, deciding which shots to use, editing the pieces together, and putting it out in front of audiences to take the journey with her. It is her love for helping actors who, once like herself, are just starting out and have no material to show their skill that led her to start offering her services to shoot (and edit) reels. She hopes that she might be able to help new actors skip years of pounding the pavement and experienced actors break past character stereotypes to be one step closer to living their dreams.
Furthermore, as another avenue to help actors & filmmakers get their work seen by the masses, Jenn has taken on the responsibility as Festival Director for the Shorts ‘N Spirits Showcase Los Angeles (S3LA). S3LA is a multi-city distribution & networking event.
The culmination of wanting to give women a safe, creative environment, the desire to help actors needing reel material, and her passion to help actors’ and indie filmmakers’ works get seen by the masses led to the creation of Luminave Films.
