Originally from New Jersey, Jon Bowden’s career began upon moving to San Francisco where he wrote, directed, and produced his first short film, "Downtown." The film went on to play two sold-out screenings at the 1999 Mill Valley Film Festival. Inspired by his early success, Jon set out to make his first feature film, "Eddie’s Dead," with collaborator/screenwriter, Scott Rothman (“Fratboy”, Warner Independent/ “Dumped”, Sony Pictures). Upon its completion in 2001, Jon turned his attention to playwriting and wrote the three-act play, "Big Mouth." Under Jon’s direction, "Big Mouth" debuted at The Actors’ Theatre of San Francisco in 2003 and subsequently, received an honorable mention at the 2004 Actors’ Theatre (Santa Cruz) Full Length Play Contest. In 2005, Jon adapted "Big Mouth" for the screen, renaming the film version "The Full Picture." Jon started One Big Head Films to produce "The Full Picture" which was shot in May of 2006. After a full year of post-production, "The Full Picture" premiered to a packed house at the 2008 Rhode Island International Film Festival and was awarded the grand prize for “best feature”. "The Full Picture" has played numerous festivals over the past year and has been lauded by audiences and critics alike.
