JORGE RIVERA is a screenwriter, director and independent producer, and is the Story Editor/Head Writer on the web series Lenox Avenue (created and Executive Produced by Al Thompson -- The Royal Tennebaums, Love Don't Cost a Thing).
Jorge and Al’s first collaboration (the independent television pilot RHYME ANIMAL) has placed as finalist in several high-profile festivals and competitions including: National Association of Television Program Executives’ NextTV Competition (Finalist, 2009), the New York Television Festival (2008), the HBO New York International Latino Film Festival Pitch-a-thon (Winner, 2009), and NexTV's Web Series and Television Competition (Finalist, 2009).
Jorge is the creator of the indie-pilot, RHYME ANIMAL, a scripted drama thriller about an ambitious hip-hop DJ who rides the coattails of a maniacal rapper that turns out to be a cannibalistic serial killer. RHYME ANIMAL was written by Jorge Rivera, Aaron F. Schnore and Billy Fox. Directed by Phil Roc.
Jorge's latest project (the UNPROTECTED) is a branded content web series that has been short listed for a Webby nomination.
