Kai Beverly-Whittemore
"Body of Work," a feature length documentary, is Kai Beverly-Whittemore's (Director/Producer/DP/Editor) first feature. Her senior project at the University of Chicago (BA 2005, honors), "unfixed", was featured in the Ukranian Museum of Modern Art's "Body Image Show", and her experimental short, "Elsa Over Head" premiered at DocFilms in November 2004. Kai has worked as a production designer/art director on such independent short films as "Speed Grieving" (2007) and "Zula Move" (2007). Her latest collaboration, "The Effects of Light", with sister and novelist Miranda Beverly-Whittemore was shortlisted for the 2009 and 2010 Sundance Screenwriter's Lab. She works from her home studio in Brooklyn.
