Laura has produced several narrative, experimental and documentary shorts that have screened at festivals, BAMcinématek, and the legendary Two Boots Pioneer Theater. Laura produced Damian Calvo’s INDEPENDENTLY BLUE for Trespa. She is co-producing with Michal Sinnott, Rob Travalino, and Chris Bongirne on the narrative feature BORN THAT WAY (Sundance International Screenwriting Competition Finalist) currently in development.
Laura graduated with a B.F.A. in Drama from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and trained with Atlantic Theater Company. While an undergrad, she focused on Interdisciplinary Studies and Web Design at NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP).
Laura is taking on a new role in independent film as a Producer of Marketing and Distribution with a focus on transmedia strategies. She is the PMD for UNICORNS, a narrative feature currently in pre-production from Student Academy Award nominated director Leah Meyerhoff (Twitch), executive producers Allison Anders (Gas Food Lodging) and Heather Rae (Oscar-nominated Frozen River) and producers Josh Hetzler (Seed), Rob Profusek (Holy Rollers) and Ryan Silbert (Oscar winner God Of Love). She is the PMD for THE GRIOT, a feature documentary in post-production, from first time director and internationally acclaimed musician Volker Goetze.
As Director of Social Media Marketing for Barbara Rick’s Out of The Blue Films, Laura manages campaigns for ENVY the documentary-in-progress and IN GOOD CONSCIENCE from Executive Producer Tom Fontana. Laura’s cineaste duties at MUBI Garage include curating cutting-edge short films, promoting emerging filmmakers, and producing the Cinema 21 project.
