Lee Karaim
I graduated from Cal State Northridge with a BA in Film Production. Since then, I have had various jobs in the film industry, mostly on the post-production side. I spend much of my free time on my real passion -- writing and directing low budget films.
I have made several films, including the feature, KISS THE GIRLS GOODBYE, which has been distributed worldwide on video. The film was recently re-released on a compilation DVD called PSYCHO KILLERS, along with the Wes Craven film CHILLER. I have also directed a documentary that was shown on PBS, THE WORLD'S LARGEST, and few other films, including the drama, CLOSET CASE and the short comedy, ORANGE PEEL.
Besides directing, I have optioned two screenplays – one of which, I was attached as the director. Neither film was ever made, but I was paid for both, so technically I can claim to be a working screenwriter. While I enjoy writing, I only write so I can direct, and I think of myself as more of a director. I would love to have the opportunity to direct someone else's script.
