Mark Ezra Stokes serves as writer/editor at the Savannah College of Art & Design. He has an M.A. in Screenwriting and Film Studies and an M.F.A. in Screenwriting, both from Hollins University. Most recently, he was Instructor of Film Studies and Drama at Brewton-Parker College, where he began his teaching career in 2005. Prior to that, he was a general assignment reporter at The Press-Sentinel in Jesup, GA, where he earned second place in hard news writing from the Georgia Press Association. Stokes is on staff with www.hollywoodjesus.com (an internationally-recognized website that seeks to create religious dialogue with the culture using mainstream film, music and literature as launching-off points), though he's been quite the slacker since the birth of his firstborn in April.
He recently completed the rough cut of a documentary on Western film star Dub Taylor, which is now in post-production. He also wrote the final draft of Meridian, an upcoming short film in the festival circuit. He also wrote and produced DI PASSAGGIO, a documentary currently touring festivals and garnering acclaim (such as the Accolade Competition's Award of Merit).
