Michelle Dunlap

I'm a 24 year-old video editor living in Somerset County, New Jersey. I've been editing video for about eight years now, and began doing so in my junior year of high school.

My main editing experience at this point is with news production and serialized comedy. I served as the editor of The College of New Jersey's student news program for 3 years, and have been working as the editor on the independent web comedy *Issues* since the show began production of it's first season in the Fall of 2008.

I have joined Massify in order to broaden my experience as an editor and to connect to film and video makers in the New York/New Jersey area who are committed to making programs of the highest quality.

I hold a BA in History from the College of New Jersey and am currently enrolled at The New School, where I am earning my MA in Media Studies. I currently pay the bills by working for a technology company in the sales and training fields.

Interests and Activities
In what little spare time I have, I'm constantly working on learning new software in order to meet more needs of the people I work with. I'm currently learning Apple's Soundtrack Pro software as well as Adobe Photoshop CS4.

I'm also a bit of a gaming phanatic, although I prefer to play on my own. To that end, I periodically find time to play the Neverwinter Nights series of games, as well as one of the several Final Fantasy games I own. I've recently been enjoying the Sims 3 as well.

I also spend a lot of time reading, mostly non-fiction that has to do with the industry, as well as history, political science, and current events. When I do read fiction, it is often classic pieces of fiction, or a good stint of Douglas Adams & The Hitchhiker's Guide.
