Bio

Miguel Angel Velez has a long list of accomplishments in music video and film production. Starting in the Florida State University's film program he was in the top ten percent of his class. His scholastic achievements and love of the medium have allowed him to develop a diverse background within the film industry. He has held various positions in production with extensive technical experience associated with the filmmaking process. Drawing on thirteen years of experience in film/video production, he creatively uses his knowledge to solve problems, and meet business needs that offer a competitive advantage. His industry accomplishments comprise a number of music videos for a variety of Latin artists, which include, Enrique Iglesias, Nayobe, Chayanne, and Marco Hernandez. Additionally, he has produced and directed commercials for high profile conglomerates such as ATT, Budweiser, Pizza Hut and Bell South, to name a few. Mr. Velez has had the pleasure of actively participating in the development and directing of Public Service Ads (PSAs) for M.A.D.D. (Mothers Against Drunk Driving).

Mr. Velez's outstanding talent is exemplified as a director. His previous film/video associations have been with KREE8 Productions, La Casa Films, and Lounge Films. Recently, Miguel co-wrote and directed a short film "Eve's Dropping In", which was well received on the International Film Festival Circuit, winning 6 awards. Including, Artistic Excellence at the Atlantic City Film Festival, Artistic Achievement at the Telluride IFF, and Key West IndieFest, and production excellence at the Made in Miami Film Festival, just to name a few. Mr. Velez's love of the craft and dedication as an independent filmmaker drives his self-determination to create and produce films to not only entertain but also educate and provoke the viewer.

Miguel, most recently has taken on yet another task of writing screenplays. Besides collaborating in "My Life: Untitled" he already has yet another script up for option "Supersonic" as well as one in development "Bakalao" to be shot abroad in 2009.
