I’m an independent filmmaker, originally from Krakow, Poland. In 1992 at the age of 20, I immigrated New York. My first experimental shorts were shown on public television in New York City and in several independent screening houses throughout the New York City area. In 2004, I graduated with a BA from the film program at The City College of New York. In June 2006, I produced a short film called "6 AM", which won THE STUDENT ACADEMY AWARD® in Hollywood. Also during this year, I earned an MFA degree in narrative film writing and directing from the film production program at the CCNY. My fiction thesis film named "When They Could Fly", only in 2007 was selected for over 40 major film festivals in the US where it received eleven awards. Currently, I’m developing a screenplay for my first fiction feature.
I’m also a volunteer at the New York Reciprocity Foundation educational workshops for homeless LGBT youth.
