Randin Graves is a full time, award-winning composer with diverse influences and skills, delivering popular (and very unusual) genres of film and television music both from full scoring stage or his professional home studio. Equally at home in classical and pop music worlds, he holds a B.A. cum laude in music composition from the well-regarded new music program at the University of California at San Diego, and has played in rock, folk, reggae, funk, blues, jazz and world fusion bands.
Randin's instrumental expertise includes guitar (electric including fretless, steel & nylon string acoustic and electric bass), keyboards (traditional piano/organ/synth plus top quality orchestral and percussion samples), voice (classical baritone, pop styles and "extended vocal techniques") and the Japanese koto. He is world renowned as an expert on the Australian didgeridoo.
His work has appeared on countless CDs and film scores, a video game, theatre and dance performances and a children's education website. Randin was a featured performer, panelist and winner of four awards at the 2010 Park City Film Music Festival, won Best Score at the 48 Hour Film Project, Salt Lake City 2010 and Best Composition at the Action on Film International Film Festival 2010. 2010 was his year of 30+ short film scores and the first half of 2011 is already booked with features.
