Rick Rios
Rick Rios is a Chicago based, award winning filmmaker with over 17 years
experience, in film and video, working under and alongside some of the industry's
best and brightest. Rick started out as a production assistant in the commercial
market about 17 years ago while still in film school at Columbia College Chicago.
After film school, and being of the philosophy that to become a better
director/producer one should know the other crafts in ones field, Rick worked his
way up as a grip, gaffer, camera assistant, and a director of photography on
projects varying from commercials to features.
Rick has been writing and directing short films for 15 years, while
producing/directing/shooting commercials and industrials professionally for over 8
years through his production company, Subliminal Pictures.
Having an extensive production background and heading his own company for
the last eight years, Rick knows the importance of running a set efficiently, on time
and on budget, without ever compromising the integrity of the work.
Always one to give back, Rick also teaches Film Production at his alma matter,
Columbia College Chicago. He is similarly aiding his wife Jen in the most
formidable task of all... shaping the young mind of their lovely daughter Sophia!
