Two scenes from my senior thesis film, MOTION SICK.
I graduted in May 2009 from the Film Conservatory at SUNY Purchase with a BFA in film production. While there, I garnered two awards for my thesis films:
-The Sol Turrell Award, for most outstanding senior thesis (MOTION SICK)
-The Miriam Arsham Award, for casting my junior thesis and "demonstrating a sensibility to the actor''''s internal process" (TOM ROURKE IS A VEGETARIAN)
During that time I crewed for around 30-40 other student projects, mostly as sound or assistant director, including AD-ing for Bob Gosse and Larry O''Neil on their short film The All Nighter, produced by SUNY Purchase.
I interned at Goldcrest Post Production in the summer of 2008, my duties including script coverage, tape QC, reception, runner, Avid & Final Cut Pro troubleshooting and maintenance.
I also worked the service desk at Purchase''''s Film Equipment Rental Facility, reserving, testing and distributing equipment to students, painting/construction, Avid & Final Cut Pro lab tech assistance and installation.
Shortly after I left school, I worked for 4 months as the key PA for TLC''''s American Chopper, where I assisted the camera operators with batteries, lighting and tapes, took stills, was driver for crew and talent, handled series appearance releases, administrative duties including filing, organization and petty cash.
During this time I also helped cast and was boom operator for Ilya Chaiken''''s web series (not yet released) The Unloveables, produced by Glass Eye Pix.
Most recently I served as camera operator for NEW DYKE CITY, a reality show teaser reel being pitched by Notional, directed by Peter Gelles.
