Shelah Mincey
I wrote my first untitled screenplay when I was 14. Not knowing exactly what I was doing, I later found out that I wrote it in playright form. I didn't have much direction in writing then so I read Syd Field's books to help me out. I attended a semester for digital filmmaking when I was 22, and it was there how to write my first short screenplay. It was a challenge but it came out great, according to my professor. I feel like I do not write unnecessary dialogue in my stories. If I can not keep myself interested, I stop writing.
I do my best to challenge myself as a writer and write different genres'. Currently I am in the middle of writing a crime drama and a horror for the first time. My primary area of writing has been drama. I would also love to write short comedy skits.
Would love to share my talent and writing with companies as well as work with a crew team to produce my screenplays. I am interested in directing my projects as well, always interested in learning and working with creative minded individuals.
I look forward to hearing back from everyone.
