Skye Dent

Skye Dent is the daughter of a Black Native American railroad cook from Georgia and a Belizean homemaker who met on a New Orleans escalator and moved their family north so their children could have a better chance at life.

She is an NYU Tisch School of the Arts MFA grad, an ABC/Disney Screenwriting Fellow, a Sundance producing workshop participant.

She's written for Star Trek Voyager, The Burning Zone, Showtime and Discovery Channel.

Currently, she is producing a remake of A Warm December, with Dennis Haysbert recreating the role originated by Sidney Poitier.
