Hello, Everyone! My name is Thomas Daley and I am an independent filmmaker in Gladstone, Michigan. Coming from a part of the country that many people think is part of Wisconsin or even Canada (Michigan's Upper Peninsula), it is difficult to get attention on a larger scale.

To tell a little about myself, I have wanted to be a filmmaker ever since I did a video project some ten years ago in high school. Since, I have been working toward trying to make that happen. I started by studying Digital Cinema at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan where I also took a job WLUC TV-6. TV-6 is the local NBC affiliate where I started as a Production Assistant and worked my way up to Technical Director before leaving there in 2006.

Upon leaving TV-6, I moved to Gladstone and started my own small production company, UP Town Productions. Some three years later, I am now producing, writing, and directing Safety Training videos for the NewPage Corporation, editing virtual tours, and producing television commercials and web videos for local businesses. While this is fun, I do not want to settle for this being as far as I go in the pursuit of my dream to be a filmmaker.

In my spare time, I have been working on several projects and massify appears to be a great way for me to finally put those projects out there and see what happens. I look forward to this fantastic opportunity and hope for it to open the doorway to the future that has seemingly been locked for me to this point.

Who I admire: I admire the works of many amazing directors that include Godard, Bergman, Kurosawa, Miyazaki, Gondry, and many more foreign film directors. Further, my American Heroes, so to speak, include Oliver Stone and Paul Thomas Anderson just to name a couple. I also really admire the writings of Charlie Kaufman and the Coen Brothers.

Who I would like to meet: I would like to meet people willing to give me assistance in advancing in the industry. I understand that everyone has their own lives to live and it sometimes makes it difficult to assist others, but I can assure you that I will not take any assistance I receive for granted and really appreciate things as little as input and critical analysis of my writings and projects.
