Favorite Movies
Anything good. I do enjoy the horror that actually scare me (so few of them lately), comedies, it's hard for me to pin-point. But I love movies with great prosthetics, that bring back the man-in-the-suit style, that anyone can do if you are imaginative and good with your hands.
Favorite Music
I have a variety of genres, but if the song is good, I'll want it. My collection of songs range from twisted in nature to very comedical.
Favorite Quotes
"Don't swallow everything you read, but read everything you swallow. And if you don't understand it, don't eat it" -Famous Sword-swallower
Favorite Talent
I draw pretty well and I'm good with my hands (minds out of the gutter..for now). I make my own prosthetics, costumes, and 'digital' effects. Robert Rodriguez is my idol, and so I always work with what I got and push the budget.
Favorite Books
Mostly vampire, supernatural novels.
Favorite TV Shows
Supernatural. Bones. Scrubs. CSI:NY. The Big Bang. Most anime. Squidbillies. ATHF. The Venture Bros. American Dad. South Park.
Interests and Activities
Art, movies, World of Warcraft, scaring people or making them laugh.
I'm born and breed in Texas, though I'm trying to avoid the possible accent and the stereotypical image (country music fan, has a ranch, a horse is my car). I've been into art since I was 5, sketching here and there, even working with clay. As I got older I sharpened my skills and took an art class in every grade. I believe I started getting into films once I started my computer/film class in high school, along with a small theater arts class. The two balanced each other out. Film was my favorite since our assignments allowed us to be creative, especially after we studied Robert Rodriguez and his work. I excelled and got the best grades. My taste in films grew as I surfed online for special effects, desiring to get the best and cheapest effects that would make my work catch more attention. I started with a few cheap trick; fading out, photoshop images (mostly muzzel flashes), slow/rapid-motion, reverse, fishing string, and corn syrup blood (which is my favorite, developing several recipes). I even found a few virtual stock footage clips that I've made almost a main reasource. I soon learned that some effects are best produced there on set, so I soon got into prosthetics. I've been trying to do the best I can, but I think all I need is some good materials for molds and I'll be set.
*Personal Note on THE GHOUL*: Now I would love to start auditions, but the truth is I want to try to avoid creating a stereotypical cast of college students. The jock, the slut, the nerd, etc. We've all seen it. However, it is fun to take a poll of who dies first. Also the Ghoul costume itself is still in the works.
What I would love the most is some input for those of you who see this and wish to work with me. I'm looking for mutiltalented people to save on money spent. It's cheap I know, but I'm sure most would argee it creates a more focused group than if it were a flood of mutiple ideas.
