Wai Ming Siu

Hi! My name is Wai Ming Siu and I'm a certified make-up artist. Having studied at Make-Up Designory in SoHo (New York City), I have been gaining experience in all different areas of the industry: film, fashion, beauty, theatre, etc. I love what I do and happily do what I love!

I am professional, punctual, and try my absolute best to steer clear of drama. I don't crack under pressure and will put my 100% effort (even when it is an unpaid position!). I base my entire profession on my reputation. Oh, and I am easy-going and very amiable too :)

As for entering the make-up industry, my story differs from most. While I have always loved make-up, I didn't start to seriously consider it as a career until more recently in life. I traveled to Cambodia the summer of 2008, where I worked with young girls rescued from poverty & prostitution. I was placed in a safehouse with these girls, who also took classes in either cosmetology or sewing. I was absolutely fascinated with the cosmetology class because for the first time in my life, make-up didn't seem vain. In fact, make-up could save lives.

I love this industry. I love the challenges each project brings. I love meeting new people and learning from them in this journey. And eventually, I would love to give back to the community somehow--something meaningful and significant.
