  • Interests and Activities

Making movies... That's our interest, and wow, what a rush! That's all we can say about the last few weeks. We have always wanted to make movies. This has been our dream for as long as we can remember. We have come together and formed the most incredible production company, Weather Art Entertainment. Over the last few weeks, we have taken an idea that was scribbled on a couple of sheets of notebook paper, and turned it into a working production of our first short. We have a wonderful script written by Will Nichols and Rebecca Najjar, and I, Dustin M. Bergmann am producing the film. Everyone involved with this company and project is a first timer. So we had to work together, learn how to gel together on a set. So, we had a crazy idea to shoot some teaser trailers to give everyone some experience and to learn how to work as a team. We have now shot two teaser trailers for the film, and they are getting great responses. Talk about Guerilla filmmaking at it's best! For the first teaser, we had no equipment at all! We used a mechanic shop light and a flash light for our lighting! The second trailer was even more astonishing. This time we were actually lucky enough to have production lighting available. However, the guerilla got bigger! Rebecca's husband Randy turned into a one man film crew! By the time the shooting started, he had built us a camera dolly and tracking. He accomplished this with plywood, inline skates, and pvc piping! Now that's awesome! Now, we are no Speilberg or Lucas yet, but we are very proud of what we have accomplished with no money and outstanding volunteers. We have loved every second of the process, and we can't wait to start shooting the actual film! To all of you out there who have a dream, GO FOR IT! You can accomplish anything you want if you are determined, and set your mind to it! For you wannabe filmmakers, you don't need hollywood, or alot of money to make a great film. All you need is passion!
