A secret council of the most powerful men in the world plot to enslave the masses and control the planet. Already successful in reducing the world's economies into 4 major unions, The Twelve, embark on reducing the population by releasing a genetically engineered biotoxin. Sixty percent of the world's population dies within 6 months of what the media reports as a new Ebola virus.
Much to The Twelve's dismay, however, a small percentage of the population has built an immunity with an unforeseen side effect. At the cost of severe insomnia, many global citizens have developed an unused portion of the brain that enables telekinetic powers. These "Mystics" eventually join forces for the final battle between good and evil in this high stakes war between the power elite and the people they seek to enslave.

They come to realize that in their survival lies the hope for the entire human race. In the absence of sleep, their lucid daydreams become matter as their minds expand into the realm of electron manipulation. These mental powers become the great equalizer in a time when the power elite push to own and control the entire planet proving that human ingenuity and spirit and can overcome whatever plot they throw at us.
September 9, 2008L M Wow, this gave me chills! Great concept, dark...this type of stuff is on everyone's minds, so I can see a movie like this really doing very well in theaters. I hope you pursue this whether book or movie!
September 9, 2008Dick King It's like star wars but way more evil and way more relative. but with all this weeding out I am really hoping for a battle with "the twelve" and 9 sleep deprived bad asses. I think it would be cool to see "the twelve" (thinned out themselves) having to fight for their lives...if or when the insomniacs fight back.
