A group of misfits and community rejects are challenged to clean up their act and become leaders through their involvement in the college newspaper. After the college is threatened with a huge lawsuit because of what the student newspaper published, the Observer staff are faced with a challenge, either clean up their act or vacate the college permanently. So the students use every creative means at their bottomless disposal to wreak havoc on the accusers and save the newspaper in the process.
