Doc Holliday spends quality time in Tombstone with his Hungarian paramour, Mary Katherine Horony (a/k/a Katie Elder or Big Nose Kate), during the final hours before the gunfight that launched a passel o' movies (Wyatt Earp, etc.).
Genre: Historical, Romance, Western short. [11-page script, can be easily expanded to feature length.]

This script focuses on one couple in one room during one day. First, we begin to realize that the guy is **THE** Doc Holliday -- Wyatt Earp's sidekick. Then we discover that the room is in Tombstone, Arizona. Finally, we come to the realization that this is **THE** fateful Wednesday in October of 1881, the day of **THE** fabled shootout at the O.K. Corral.
But instead of doing another rehash of the gunfight, or pumping up the mythological bravery of the men involved, we get to know Mary Katherine Horony, also known as Katie Elder or Big Nose Kate. By this time, in 1881, Doc Holliday had already been together with Kate for several years.
Kate was born in Hungary, but moved to America with her parents as a teenager. Her mother and father died within a month of each other when Kate was 15. A few years later, Kate got married and had a child, but her husband and infant son both died in a yellow fever epidemic.
So Kate was a survivor in a world that was hard on both women and horses. She was a larger-than-life character who lived to the age of 89, old enough to see stories of her own exploits told as Wild West legends. [Kate appears peripherally in at least 6 Hollywood movies.]
And this 11-page script covers just one dramatic day in Kate's life... a life that was filled with many such days.

Jacob R. A new twist (POV) on an old story, could be good. You'd really have to make the dialogue crackle to compete with the weight of the events set to transpire later in the day. A really beautiful, talented actress could deliver.

Heva Jasmine Saadatmand Interesting. I like the idea of the time frame of only one day, and how it can truly hold so much.
