As a child, Sam never had a good relationship with her mom because of their different views on life. Now Sam was an independent woman and college student, feeling refreshed with a bright future and a loving fiance.
Suddenly this all changes when one day, on a family road trip, Sam's mother, step father and two younger brothers get in a car accident. The accident kills her mother and step father instantly, leaving her brothers traumatized from the sight of their parent's death burned into their minds.
With little money and no-one to help them, Sam and her Fiance Michael get married and try to make a home for themselves and the two boys in Virginia. Things start to look bright for the new family but unfortunately for them, the house has it's own plans.
