Inner Child
A workaholic is confronted by his long neglected Inner Child who wreaks havoc ut teaches the man the importance of family.
We live in world where guardian angels are all around us. Theirs are the whispering voices of praise, encouragement, and glimmers of hope that you often hear in your loneliest moments.
But for Sid, mid thirties, clean cut, being a guardian angel isn’t all harps and halos. He hates his job because his human assignment, Timothy, doesn’t listen to him. No matter what Sid says, nothing can get Timothy out of his depressed lonely funk. When Sid doesn’t get a promotion, it is the last draw and he does something forbidden: he abandons his human assignment.
God finds out and is none too pleased. So God makes Sid human and gives him five days to get Timothy to fall in love with the woman God created for him or Sid must spend eternity in Hell.
Sid rushes to Timothy’s side who wants nothing to do with him. The more Sid tries to get into Timothy’s life, the more he realizes how neglectful he has been as a guardian angel. This becomes all the more clear when he discovers that the woman Timothy is supposed to be with is Grace, a woman Timothy has never talked to but sees every night eating in the same diner.
Halfway there, Sid must find a way to get these two together. But Grace’s guardian angel, Rosalind is Sid’s ex wife. She knows that no good has ever come from him and does her best to steer Grace clear of Sid’s path. Also complicating things is Jackson, another guardian angel made human and sent to Earth as a punishment. Jackson blames Sid for his situation and is determined to stop him.
In the course of playing matchmaker and fighting adversity, Sid’s efforts prove disastrous. He accidentally burns down Timothy’s apartment. He gets him fired. Desperate, he introduces Timothy as a wealthy investor who could potentially save the homeless shelter Grace runs. But the lie is uncovered by Jackson and both Sid and Timothy are thrown in jail.
Timothy rails at Sid for everything he has taken away. But now with nothing he realizes the things Sid took away were the things that were making him miserable. And the introduction to Grace and the potential of being happy with her is all he has now. Sid calls on the guardian angels in the jail which facilitate their release.
They race to stop Grace from leaving town. Timothy apologizes for leading her on and gives her his severance package in order to save the shelter. She’s overwhelmed and confesses that she has seen Timothy every night in the diner too. They go there so Timothy can further explain and they sit together for the first time.
Sid becomes an angel again and is joined by God at the diner. As they watch Timothy and Grace, Sid asks God, “Why, Timothy? What’s so important about him?
God smiles and simply says, “Sid…..they’re all important.”

Christopher Joseph Is an interesting concept - think I would have showed what was happening w/timothy more since it's supposed to be about him also - makes me wonder how Sid even became an angel and to be fairly young if he was human before /and even his wife? did they did together in an accident? it's always a fine line to mix religion and comedy such as 'Bruce almighty' or the 'Oh God' series or even 'Heaven can wait'. So kudos to even trying - curious how everything plays out in the script - would be willing to read- good luck! If you have a chance , review my submission also!
