An MMA Referee takes his love of the sport too far in his attempt to meet & spar with his idol, Randy Couture.
Ed "The Gold Standard" Goldworth is an ambitious, intense and highly motivated Mixed Martial Arts Referee and is a local fan favorite in the scene. The only problem is he hasn't gotten his ticket to the big show yet and he wants more than anything in the world to call matches under the worlds biggest spotlight for cagefighting...in the U.F.C.
His hero in MMA is Randy "The Natural" Couture and it's been a mission of Ed's to meet and possibly spar with him ever since he first saw Randy fight in the 90's. Lately Randy has been appearing to Ed in lucid dreams when he gets knocked out, so he believes it's his destiny to lock it up with Randy. Ed knows without a doubt that if they could only meet in the Octagon, he could prove his worth to Randy and that they could forge a lifelong friendship and maybe he woul dbe invited to join his camp.
Ed will stop at nothing to achieve these lofty goals as he seeks to impose his will on the world.
