Danielle is stuck in a dead end relationship with a married man. It takes a turn for the worse when he leaves her and then comes back and brutality rapes her.

She is an avid runner and has always run away from her fears and lack of a happy successful life.
Her life, which has turned upside down, has just got worse. On one of her runs, she mysteriously turns up in a place unfamiliar with her. ON a lonely stretch of Beach near an equally desolate unrecognizable Forrest.

Stripped of everything she wakes drugged and lost in the woods. With a few clues and constant torments. She runs from an unseen character that little by little reveals his intention and who he is. When she returns to reality, an explosive climax ties up all loose ends and conflicts.

Think Blair Witch crossed with Open Water!

Nightflyer01 I like what I've read so far. However I would expand the characters story lines a little more. Maybe have both Charlie and Danielle being tormented by this unknown, yet in different realms. Sort of like a parallel universe. Then I'd end it with them both physically in an asylum, yet still running from this unknown.

Phil Phil Thanks for the comment. I took this movie and thought hey lets dump this poor girl in the woods naked. She has no idea why or who would do this to her. Slowly she begins getting her memory back and discovering what may be happening. But the movie is done in a nightmare like scenario.
Once things start progressing and figuring out for themselves things take an unexpected weird about face. Reality is no more. You begin thinking hey is this real or a nightmare seen through her eyes. And are these eyes looking at something sane or insane.
What unravels in this girls life will leave you wondering how much is this real or just looked upon as reality and instead a scared frightened outlook of this girls real life masqueraded by this false escape Into the Woods!
Simplicity and limited characters lends to the scary set up of this flick!

screamqueen I always look forward to the unknown. I loved the two movies you are using as reference, so if this movie is along the same lines, I'm sure that I will love it too! Just be prepared, as most of the general public was highly disappointed when they discovered that Blair Witch was not real, and most thought that Open Water was lame (probably because it was all psychological and these people just want gore). Kudos to you for taking the vague and using it as a villain. The unknown is always the most terrifying.......
