Two men fishing at a lake relate catching fish to dating women.
Two men explore the close comparisons with the way men choose women to the way men catch and release fish. One man is not to bright, when it comes to women. The other thinks he knows everything there is to know about women. The men exchange their own good and bad personal opinions and experiences on dating, always agreeing to disagree.

Christian Badami I think you've got an inspired gem of an idea, even if it is just a foundation for one or two characters and the way they see life.
March 1, 2010Of course, it's necessary to develop an additional plot to sustain the concept for 90 minutes (and you may have those ideas up your sleeve already), but the initial idea here did grab my attention.
How would the application of fishing theory apply to their lives in broader ways? Would one of two guys take the comparison to the extreme, at risk of becoming a serial killer mounting women on placards over his fireplace? Who knows what strange places this comedy could go?
But even if you kept it restricted to a conversation between two men on a lake for 90 minutes, I still find that very intriguing, sort of like "Mindwalk," but instead of talking particle physics we are talking men and women.
Sometimes the best ideas start with the stem wall of good characters, and I think you are on to something here. Keep after it!
I would love to not have to attach a "Star Rating" to this review because that just seems premature for pitches at this phase in a public community development forum. So I'm giving you my standard 4 stars for ideas that are just blossoming and need not be quashed by generalized ratings.
Best of luck to you, keep writing!
Erin Humphries ... this sounds completely unoriginal... everyone has heard the old adage that there's always another fish in the sea. by the way, you misspelled things in your synopsis.
