MOORPARK is a realistic Internet web series about the lives of staff and residential clients living in a group home for troubled youth. This series closely follows a core group of staff and the clients they serve.
Each episode will center around this core group, with the main dramatic focus of the series growing from the relationships and personal lives of the staff. The conflicts these residents face every day takes it toll on them and everyone around. Working and living in a group home can sometimes be rewarding, but most often it’s a thankless duty.
The endless bombardment of issues from these overly needy kids, topped off by the required 16-18 hour work day at times forces the staff to shut down emotionally just to keep from burning out. Not only must they help these clients learn to cope and deal with problems, they also struggle with their own day to day lives and the stress this job adds.
“The characters and events in this series are all based on true stories, they come from the ten painful years of my life that I worked as a counselor, for troubled youth.” James Tucker 1999
