Stars From The Moon (working title)

Issac Murphy moves to California for collage, expecting his life to finally start making sense. His plan is derailed when he meets Miracle, a pregnant hooker who resides in the apartment above his. After making friends with her, He finds himself caring for her.
In a completely unrelated incident, Issac meets Nate, a 15 year old runaway, who fled to California from his homophobic and abusive step father. Seeing as how he had no place to go, Issac offers to let him stay at his place.
After an accident that takes the life of Miracle, Issac is forced to reevaluate his situation, and the situation of Miracle's daughter, the newly born Star.

Years down the road Star has grown into a young child, curious about her place in the world ans where she came from. She is convinced she was dropped off in Issac's back yard by aliens who resided on the moon (because, as she says "it's the closest planet to Earth).
When A new girl, Faith, a recovering dug addict, joins the family Star does not approve,

Much more happens as the story develops, and this makeshift family is created of the unwanted pieces of others
