the GHOST GUYS
Plumbers by day. Paranormal Investigators by their days off.
Ben and Mickey were ballplayers in the popular Cape Cod Summer Baseball League. Ben, a rowdy catcher, and Mickey, a prima donna flamethrower were set up in the same house so they could develop the unspoken language that the great "batteries" of baseball history have thrived on.
The film starts months after an unknown catastrophe has left the Nation lifeless; hordes of undead flesh-eaters limping the streets.
Ben and Mickey have struck out across New England. They walk the roads and sleep in hammocks in the trees, trying always to stay a step ahead of the dead. But they also have to overcome the vast differences in their characters.
Ben has taken to the feral, nomadic lifestyle that allows for lawlessness, hunting and gathering, and the violent, reckless slayings of the undead.
Mickey is unable to accept the new world. Refusing to engage in Ben's brutal games and hoping always for a bed, and a girl, and a safe place to live.
So, when Mickey intercepts a radio transmission from what appears to be a thriving, protected community, he will stop at nothing to find the place...
...even though it is made perfectly clear that he is not welcome.
