The Envelope, Please
To save a major movie award show, a hapless accountant has only 6 hours to track down and steal the hijacked winning envelopes back.
For fifty years Brinkman Platt has been the accounting firm that has tabulated the voting results and delivered the winning envelopes to the biggest awards show in Hollywood. This year was to be no different. Unfortunately a group of anarchists had other plans. First they attack the firm's software and data centers. Then they give food poisoning to the heads of the firm, set fire to one set of envelopes... and steal the only remaining set of envelopes.
Unfortunately Lloyd Roe picked the wrong day to not take lunch. Lloyd is just a simple accountant, not looking for advancement and not particularly interested in the firm's connection to Hollywood. But when he is the last man standing, the firm's senior partner, Martin Platt, asks Lloyd to track down the envelopes and get them to the awards show on time. If it doesn't happen, the firm will be ruined and Hollywood's biggest night will be a disaster.
Lloyd accepts the task. He now has six hours to find and retrieve the envelopes.
With the help of his slacker roommate Ryan, a beautiful TV producer named Tessa, a disgruntled limo driver and a gung-ho former mercenary-turned-award-show seat-filler named Carter, Lloyd finds his way through a series of misadventures and finally into the underside of Hollywood.
There his incredibly strange day in L.A. turns dangerous as he finds an anarchist named Fogerty, his small army and the stolen envelopes.
